We recommend this in-person course for those who are new to shotguns, have limited experience, or want a refresher on basic shotgun safety concepts. This objective-based class explores the important facets of shotgun ownership including safe handling, shell components, maintenance, storage, straight away and angled targets, and basic shooting techniques. This includes conducting range inspections, enforce range rules, clear stoppages and malfunctions, conduct safety briefings, and understand and control emergency procedures. Pistol 3, sponsored by Level 1 Firearms Training, is an advanced level course for experienced pistol students who want to increase their defensive shooting skills. Defensive Shooting & Reloading goes BEYOND " the Basics" to include personal defense strategies to more effectively protect yourself and increase survival during a shooting encounter. Includes transitioning quickly and easily from different stances for rapid and accurate shooting results, introduction to shooting "on-the-move", two and one handed speed reloading, using a secondary firearm for backup, review of judicial use of a firearm for self-defense (consult an attorney for legal interpretation of the law). AR-15 l is a fun and informative specialty class designed specifically for new AR-15 owners who wants to learn to safely handle, maintain, store, and shoot their AR-15 platform rifle.. FUNdamentals uses hands-on instruction, visual presentations, expert lectures, and skill-building range drills to enhance the learning experience. Students will need a AR-15 rifle (.22 caliber or greater), approximately 100 rounds of factory ammunition (ammunition is not allowed in the classroom), eye & ear protection (prescription eyewear acceptable), and a positive attitude. Course Overview
AR-15 ll is a specialty course for experienced students who have attended the AR-15 l and Rifle Level 2, and want to build on their basic and intermediate rifle knowledge and skills to encompass personal defense strategies, Home Defense introduces students to the judicial use of an AR-15 rifle for home and personal defense. Students will be put through a series of challenging shooting drills to further develop defensive skills for increased survival during a shooting encounter. Course is taught by a certified instructor. Continued opportunities for skill development will be discussed. Students will need an AR-15 platform rifle (.22 caliber or greater), 300 rounds of factory ammunition (ammunition is not allowed in the classroom), eye & ear protection (prescription eyewear acceptable), 3 magazines, and a positive attitude. Approximately 5 hours including live fire training. A welcome letter will be emailed within 48 hours of registration.

NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting ILT is an in-person beginner level rifle safety course - not a marksmanship or tactical class. We recommend this course for those who are new to Long Rifle and AR-15 platforms, have limited experience, or want a refresher on basic rifle safety concepts. This objective-based class explores the important facets of rifle ownership including safe handling, ammunition, maintenance, storage, stances (benchrest, standing, prone), and basic scoping & shooting techniques. Required prerequisites must be completed prior to taking this course. Continued opportunities for skill development will be discussed. Students will need a rifle (.22 caliber or greater), 100 rounds of factory ammunition (ammunition is not allowed in the classroom), eye & ear protection (prescription eyewear acceptable), and a positive attitude. Upon successfully passing this course, including basic knowledge exam and shooting lesson, students will meet NRA Basics of Rifle Shooting national standards and will earn an official certificate of completion. DAY 1 NRA Basics of Pistol Shooting ILT
Learn the basics of pistol safety, handling, maintenance, and shooting. Live-fire Beginner shooting module, student exam, and certificate of completion.
DAY 2 NRA Personal Protection in the Home PPITH + Legal Lecture
Home invasion and burglary scenarios, situational awareness development, home defense strategies, neighborhood conflict de-escalation, cover and concealment principles, 21 foot rule, and informative legal lecture. Live-fire basic home protection shooting module, student exam, and certificate of completion.
DAY 3-4 NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home PPOTH (Concealed Carry)
Concealed carry skill development, safety principles, basic tactical reloading, holster draw, situational awareness while in public, transportation of firearm. Live-fire basic personal protection shooting module, student exam, and certificate of completion.
NOTE: You will need approximately 600 rounds of factory fresh ammunition (no ammunition allowed in the classroom).
