Basic Instructor Training (BIT)
The NRA Basic Instructor Training (aka BIT) is a
required course for all new and existing NRA instructor candidates. The BIT is valid for two (2) years, allowing instructor candidates to attend as many instructor disiplines before having to renew.

This is the NRA Basic Pistol Instructor Course. Upon completion of this course and by meeting it's requirements, instructor candidates will be recommended to the NRA for the prestigous NRA Pistol Instructor Certification rating. This course includes:

NRA Personal Protection in the Home Course (PPITH) Course to law-abiding citizens interested in protecting their home, family, and friends from a viloent attack on their premises.

This course teaches how to conduct the NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home (PPOTH) Course to law-abiding citizens interested in protecting thier family, friends, and loved ones while away from home while carrying a concealed firearm in public.
