Beginner AR-15 Rifle Class in Texas
Designed for the beginning AR-15 rifle shooter who has not received formal training in the safe, responsible, and proper handling of a semi-automatic or manual rifle.

AR-15: Basic AR-15 Rifle Training

This class is for students who have attended our Level 1 Basic AR-15 Rifle Training Class. This class builds on top of the basic skills taught during the introduction class. For safety purposes, the Basic AR-15 class must be attended prior to attending this class.

This class introduces the many options available to the AR-15 Rifle owner and prepares the student for advanced techniques taught in our advanced AR-15 rifle class.

AR-15 Intermediate Rifle Class for Personal Defense

.This class builds on top of basic and intermediate skills taught during the prerequisite classes. For safety purposes, the Basic AR-15 class as well as the Intermediate AR-15 class must be attended prior to attending this class.

This class introduces students to the judicial use of an AR-15 rifle for home defense. An overview of current Idaho laws are discussed and additional shooting techniques are introduced.

Fort Worth Texas NRA Chief Range Safety Officer Instructor Course
To attend an instructor class you must have also attended the student portion of the class they wish to become an instructor. The instructor candidate must demonstrate proficiency and knowledge before attending an instructor class. Instructor candidates must obtained a 90%+ on the student test and the instructor test
The Rifle Instructor Course teaches instructors how to teach the Basics of Rifle Shooting Course in the classroom and at the range. Topics include teaching students how to hold a rifle, rifle stances, trigger control, hold control, aiming, site picture and site alignment.
The NRA Instructor Training Course is designed to teach you how to teach others to shoot using NRA lesson plans and training methods. The course is not designed to improve your shooting skills. Possession of basic firearm safety and/or shooting skills is a prerequisite for certification as an NRA instructor.
The Flash Point Precision Training Instructor Program will be led by the Level 1 Firearms Development Team, which includes Level 1 Firearms Instructors certified to teach the Flash Point Precision methodologies.
This course will help you develop the additional knowledge, skills, and techniques needed to organize and teach firearms courses. Participants will learn to diagnose and correct student weaknesses, analyze and score targets, design and run courses of fire. Develop and implement comprehensive firearms training programs.
Students will be required to demonstrate proper safe gun handling of a pistol attending 16 hours of training. Candidates will demonstrate proper application of the fundamentals of shooting and weapon manipulations through a series of challenging evaluation courses adhering to specific target standards.

Become adept at working with the handgun from the holster, including drawing safely, efficiently, and quickly, and safely re-holstering. You will learn to shoot quickly but accurately, fire multiple shots with full control and will learn to reload the pistol quickly and efficiently using speed and emergency reloads.

Arlington Texas NRA Basics of Range Safety Officer Course
The NRA Personal Protection Instructor Course aka NRA PPITH Instructor Course teaches students how to make their home a safer place to live. By dividing their home and its surrounding into specific security zones, evaluating their home for a potential break-in, how to use their gun for self-defense, firearms and the Law.
In addition, they must attend and successfully complete the appropriate NRA Basic Firearm Training Course prior to attending an NRA Instructor Training Course. Apprentice instructor ratings are available in the three disciplines of rifle, pistol, and shotgun.

The NRA Personal Protection Outside the Home Instructor Course aka NRA PPOTH Instructor Course teaches students how to safely carry a concealed weapon in public. Levels of awareness are taught to identify potential threats, extensive holster work is performed to present from cover, identifying cover and concealment options and more.
Austin NRA Basic Instructor Training BIT Course
All courses include the required NRA documentation, instructor guides, student packets, instruction and follow up support. You will receive everything needed to first take and then teach each course. Note: There will be processing fees payable to the NRA due upon the completion of class. Fee's are determined by how many and which courses you attend.
Houston Texas NRA Personal Protection in the Home Course
Days 2 and 3 are the discipline-specific days, and will begin with the Pre-Course Qualification described. The course length will vary according to discipline (Rifle is 10 hours, Pistol is 11 hours, Shotgun is 11 hours, and Home Firearms Safety is 5 hours listed hours are minimums and may be exceeded, if necessary).
You may be asked to demonstrate your firearm background through participation in pre-course assessment exercises. We highly suggest enrolling in the student level course before instructor training even when it is not a prerequisite.
If you are 21 years of age or older and have the knowledge, skills and attitude, you have the opportunity to become an NRA Certified Instructor. As an instructor, you can experience the personal satisfaction of teaching others that will lead to a lifetime of safe, enjoyable, successful firearm and shooting activities.
Level 1 Firearm Instructors must be at least 21 year of age and not be restricted from possessing a firearm. Participants will receive classroom instruction and practical shooting exercises using our unique Flash Point Precision Training methodology.
Courses are conducted in a skill building manner, beginning with basic instructor training. Students then go on to learn a specific discipline and how to present that as an instructor. Students demonstrate organizational skills, teaching skills, participate in practical exercises, and pass an instructor examination scoring 90% or higher.
Level 1 Firearms Training | Texas Gun Training
Teach the NRA Basic Firearm Training Courses according to the lesson plans and standards of the National Rifle Association. It is not designed to prepare you to teach other firearm training courses, nor to prepare you to develop firearms training courses on your own.
Austin Texas NRA Basics of Shotgun Instructor Shooting Course
A person new to the use of a firearm for personal defense typically has a broad range of questions and is faced with learning a number of skills that are critical in the use of a firearm in this case a handgun to defend themselves, their family or someone in their charge.
NRA Assistant Instructors are individuals 18 years of age or older who assist certified instructors to gain the knowledge and experience needed to become certified instructors. Assistant instructors must complete the same instructor level course. The Assistant Instructor ratings are available in six disciplines.
Instructor certification is valid for one year upon initial certification. After completion of the first year, instructors may renew their instructor credentials for up to three years at a time. NRA encourages instructors to remain active and would like to see at least one basic course taught per year.
You will also be asked to complete an instructor certification examination. A minimum score of 90 percent is required for certified instructor applicants (85 percent for assistant and apprentice instructor applicants). However, attendance at the course, or a passing grade on the examination, does not guarantee that you will receive the recommendation of the NRA Training Counselor.
The NRAs Basic Pistol Shooting Instructor Course is a 10 hour course that teaches instructor candidates how to teach the NRA Basics of Pistol Shooing in person in a classroom environment.
Houston Women Only Pistol Class
When it comes to shooting, safety is always the primary concern. You will learn how to teach others to safely handle their firearm at home, at the range, and when carrying concealed in public. Take the first step towards becoming a firearms instructor by attending a Level 1 Firearms Training class.
Knowing how to shoot is an important requirement for all instructors, but you also need to know how to teach others to shoot.
Level 1 Firearms Defensive Pistol Instructors are qualified to teach in the following disciplines: Safety and Firearm Awareness; Ready Positions; Fundamentals; Malfunctions; Live Fire Progression Drills; Tactical Reloads; Drawing from a Holster; Low Light/No Light Shooting; Tactical Reload while holding a Light; Tactical reloads when the strong arm is impaired; Key Components to Carry a Concealed Firearm; Carry Options and Real World Scenario Based Training.
If you are already an NRA Certified Instructor in another discipline, you can skip Day 1. HOWEVER, you will need to show proof of having successfully attended/completed an NRA Basic Instructor Training (BIT) class and Trainers Exam in the last 24 months.
The goal of this program is to develop instructors to teach NRA Basic Firearm Training Courses according to the lesson plans and training standards of the National Rifle Association.
